Our First Family Vacation

At the end of March 2009 we took our first ever family vacation with just our children. We are lucky to have a place to stay in San Diego a condo that Josh's parents own right on the beach. So we decided to make a week out of it stay on the beach and hit some fun places while we were at it. It was absolutely a ton of fun. We just barely arrived in San Diego and went straight for a walk after the ten hour drive. So pretty. When I say this condo is on the beach I mean walk out the door you are on the beach.

We went to the San Diego zoo it was awesome. It was nice to be at a zoo where the animals are mobile and look healthy, and have a really pretty environment that is big enough to move around in. The kids loved it. I did get some pictures of some of the animals but in those ones you only see the back of my kids heads so I just put on pictures that you can see my little animals faces.

This picture cracks me up because Jed actually hit this goat so hard it made a drum noise and everyone just looked at us. The goat didn't move at all and we had to tell Jed to be soft.

BEACH TIME
The whole week was beautiful until the day we left. I wish I would have taken more pictures but I hated bringing my camera down and worrying about it getting stolen or sand in it. We weren't there to sit we were busy having fun. The little ones didn't like the water much but could not get enough of the sand. McCaden would not stay out of the water so her and Josh spent most of the time in the ocean, while me and the babes played in the sand.

Disneyland
Our kids were the perfect age to really just go and enjoy the park. No whining, crying, naps, just pure fun. The first day we left Jed with my sister and Ben who came up the last couple of days we were in San Diego to hang out in the sun. So we went to California adventure with just the girls. They rode every ride they possibly could including the Tower of Terror. Austyn still talks about how mom had to hold her because she was flying out of her seat, as long as I am the hero and not the villan (Josh) for taking them on that ride in the first place.

Disneyland
I have tons of pictures but here are just a couple. Jed loved all the rides he thought we were getting into toy cars all day.

Our last day taking a walk before we hop in the car. This is the only day it was overcast.

Fun vacation, awful ride home. Jed literally cried for the first 3 hours. I am pretty sure from pure exhaustion because when he finally gave in he slept most of the 6 or 7 hours we had left. But misery always likes company so Austyn joined in as well then McCaden until it was a cry fest. The girls as funny as it sounds were crying because Jed wouldn't be quite. Josh and I just had to take these pictures and laugh. Life is good!

Those Big Baby Blues are Two!

My little man is two! (in April)
And not so little anymore.
I love his sweet, and calm disposition.
I love to watch him play, he plays hard never stopping.
I love how he throws everything and never misses a target. (usually someones head)
I love how he smiles like he knows something I don't, I honestly melt.
I love how he has always cuddled, and constantly gives hugs and kisses.
I love his blue eyes they are big and beautiful.
I love his little voice so low and raspy.
I love that I am his mother and that I get to have him as my son.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JED!

Easter 2009

I love Easter! I love the family time, I love the activities, I love the meaning, I love that it is a little less commercial. I think the pictures will show that we really love the chance we have to be with those we love. The fun started at Grandma and Grandpa Fellers where Margo does an Easter egg hunt for all the kids and adults. Only those who live in Utah were there this time. The kids always love to see cousins.

Then we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at the Convelescent Center where Lisa(my dad's)wife for those of you who have never met her)works. The kids loved it they got tons of eggs and prizes. The residence who are able help out and you can tell they love having the kids there.

Then it was home to color 5 dozen eggs of our own. Austyn loves this and was talking about it all year. She would randomly ask me, When can we color eggs? They had a ball, we always use to wear some of my dads old t-shirts and make a mess, so we put some on the kids they loved it. Jed was not very soft with the eggs and splashed the vinegar around like it was water. I got some in my eye and it burned the rest of the night. Worth It! Look at his tongue, he is hard at work.

In the morning looking at their baskets. Jed could care less he found candy!

These are the cute dresses my dad got the girls he got Jed a cute outfit too.

So these are some cute summer outfits my Aunt Rochelle, Uncle Scott, & cousins Lindsey and Ian sent my kids in the mail. Austyn wants to wear hers everyday, she loves and prefers anything cotton and almost refuses to wear any other fabric. They made some faces for Ian in the last picture.

Outfits the Easter Bunny brought.

Josh was snapping some pictures and I thought these were cute I don't have very many pictures of my dad and siblings. My baby brother is getting so big he will be a senior next year and Ashlee is all grown up too!
